After The Rain

I sat outside.
Watched the clouds go by.
The sky turned overcast while hours past in time.
I closed my eyes.
Was the last I'd cry.
I turned my back.
The one you stabbed last night.

I think its gonna rain.
Forever.

I went to my room still scented with perfume.
I see your face still etched inside my mind.
I looked towards the sky.
Saw a lightning bolt pass by.
It crashed into my heart.

Your black clouds wont keep the bright rays meant for me.
I'm crying now and it looks like its raining.
I'm crying now.
Ain't no use in complaining.
Please don't rain on me.
